On 19 April 2022, the CALABARZON Regional/Inter-Agency Technical Evaluation Committee (RTEC-IATEC) evaluated ten project proposals for potential funding under the DOST Community-Based Program (CBP), Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP), and Community Empowerment thru Science and Technology (CEST). The proposals for the improvement of their respective facilities through S&T interventions were submitted to the panel of evaluators to assess their completeness and acceptability for funding.
For April, the monthly CALABARZON RTEC-IATEC evaluation of projects related to livelihood considered six projects from the food sector and four projects from the non-food sector. Under the food sector, two projects are from Laguna: Magdalena Dairy Processors (CBP) and Switsis Food Products (SETUP); two from Quezon: Kalahiko Bakery (SETUP) and Greatlab Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (SETUP); one from Cavite: Buhay at Kabuhayan sa Nayon (CEST); and one from Batangas: Batangas Provincial Veterinary Office (CEST). On the other hand, under the non-food sector, three projects are from Laguna: LG Lopez Industrial Sales and Services (SETUP), Springtech Industrial Supply (SETUP), and EEDC MAICO (SETUP); and one from Rizal: Sylee Modular Corporation (SETUP).
The evaluations run every month until August 2022 to invite and accommodate more starting entrepreneurs, MSMEs, LGUs, and people’s organizations to tap the DOST-CALABARZON in financing their business needs related to S&T, such as technology acquisition and skills upscaling activities.
The deadline of submission of proposals for the May CALABARZON RTEC-IATEC evaluation is on 5 May 2022. For inquiries, you may contact the Provincial S&T Center in your province through their Facebook page: DOST-Cavite, DOST-Laguna, DOST-Batangas, DOST-Rizal, and DOST-Quezon.
